Bursera graveolens, known in Spanish as palo santo, is a wild tree native from Peru. Our Palo Santo is only sourced from fallen trees and limbs.  Palo Santo is perfect to use to cleanse the environment on its own or in conjunction with other plant material. I personally adore the woodsy scent of Palo Santo and if I close my eyes and breathe in it scent, I am transported to the middle of a forest.

How to use it?

Hold your Palo Santo in a 45 degree angle until it’s fully lit – it will create a mini-flame of its own. Allow it to burn for approximately one minute, it should then naturally extinguish itself after a minute or so. Please do not blow out the flame.

Holding the stick in your hands, visualize your intentions and fill your space with sacred smoke. This will deliver a delicious woodsy scent and cleanse the energy around you. When you’re done with your stick, Ensure you fully extinguish before you leave the room, I dunk them under running water and sometimes I dunk them into a sand filled fireproof and it’s ready for the next time you want it as the sticks can be lit and relit many times.

Palo Santo may be used for spiritual purification, to inspire creativity, good fortune, and positivity. Use it to deepen your connection to the divine source and to protect you from negativity.
